i can say that i learnd to design on screen at the same time as i did layouts with pecil, ruler, glue, cutouts with scissors and passing hours at the printer.
and yes, i am in accord with the fact that these two approaching methods emerge different results.
it is not only that you have slightly different measures on pc’s and relate to scales like pixels, rgb and hex colour or other codes.
what we have in addition, especially today, is the active screen. to develope a good-looking and functional navigation system for a logic operation on a surface is a new dimension for layouters. or at least there is the plus and challange for designers to put all their brain into creating globaly working small litte icons.
